This inter-institutional project "Establishing Effective Virtual Teaching Strategies to Support Learning beyond the Classroom" is established under the UGC fund of the Inter-institutional Collaborative Activities for Virtual Teaching and Learning.

The project aims to explore, consolidate/develop, implement, document and promote effective virtual teaching and learning (VTL) strategies to enhance and expand learning beyond classroom teaching and learning. To achieve this goal, we will implement three initiatives: (1) To explore and enhance new learning venues such as virtual laboratories and location-based learning, (2) To create new chances to collaborate such as inter-disciplinary and inter-cultural learning as well as virtual student exchange programme on course or programme level, and (3) To explore and enhance new extra-curricular learning such as technology-enhanced service learning and academic advising. The project will interview teachers to collect good practices which can then be dissimilated to the wider teaching and learning communities in higher education.
